. Australia’s interest rate has risen again. Australia’s central bank has raised interest rates for the fifth time in 2026 to 4.85.

TheReserve Bank of Australia (RBI) has decided to raise the interest rate by 0.25 percentage points after the completion of its two-day monetary policy meeting . The interest rate that Australia has raised is the highest interest rate in 18 years.

Australia’s central bank of had raised interest rates at the same rate in February, March, May and September.

Australia’s annual inflation rose from 4 per cent in August to 4.3 per cent per cent in September.
