Three people have been arrested with four kilograms of illegal gold brought from China. The Dolakha District Police Office arrested them with the gold brought from Jamune in Bigu Rural Municipality-3. According to the information provided by Deputy Inspector Deepak Khadka of the District Police Office, Dolakha, they were arrested based on the information that they were smuggling illegal gold brought from China.

According to Khadka, they had entered Nepal through the closed border with China, carrying the smuggled gold. China has opened its border with Rongxia and Koldum Nakas for one week. However, locals say it is impossible to smuggle gold from these checkpoints. Therefore, the investigation has revealed that the closed border checkpoint is being used for smuggling gold. The police have informed us that further investigation is being conducted on the three arrested individuals.

It is estimated that a large amount of gold has been smuggled inside Nepal through the pedestrian route, with 4 kilograms of gold seized in the smuggling case. The police have also been conducting investigations into this matter.
