The immediate past Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Century Commercial Bank and current Deputy CEO of Prabhu Bank, banker Manoj Neupane, has been arrested.

The Central Investigation Bureau of the police has arrested him along with 11 others in a loan misuse case. The police, along with the CIB, are conducting further investigations into the matter.

Appointed as the CEO of Century Commercial Bank in Asar 2078, he had become the Deputy CEO of Prabhu Bank after the merger with Prabhu.

Previously, Neupane, who is also the nephew of former Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal, had been continuously in the news for financial irregularities.
