Kathmandu. An arrest warrant has been issued against former Prime Minister Sher Bahadur. The Kathmandu District Court on Tuesday issued an arrest warrant against Deuba for his alleged involvement in money laundering.

Police have also issued arrest warrant against Deuba’s wife Arzoo Rana Deuba.

A senior official of the Department of Money Laundering said that an arrest warrant has been issued against them as they have to take statements in the money laundering case. According to the official, the department is investigating the Deuba couple.

Deuba, who is also the former President of Nepali Congress, is currently in Hong Kong. Deuba, who had gone to Singapore for treatment after the Gen-G movement, had gone to Hong Kong from Singapore. Arzoo Rana is also from Hong Kong.
