Kathmandu. Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) has decided to start share trading from Friday as well. Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) has changed its trading schedule after the government decided to give a public holiday on Sunday in order to reduce the consumption of petroleum products.
According to the decision of the Council of Ministers on Sunday, all government offices will be closed on Sunday.
A meeting of NEPSE Board of Directors has decided to open the market for five days a week. The market will be closed on Sunday and regular trading will be conducted on Friday.
Earlier, in 2079 BS, when the government had declared public holidays on Saturdays and Sundays, NEPSE had started trading on Fridays. After Sunday’s holiday was lifted, NEPSE returned to its old schedule. According to the new system, the market will now be closed on Saturday and Sunday.
