Kathmandu. The Nepali New Year 2083 has begun from today. 2082 is not a normal year like any other year, but as a mark of respect for social, political, economic and Nepali self-respect, this year has given us many gifts and has left behind experiences with every gift.

Let’s discuss some of the photos taken in 2082 BS and many other political, social, cultural and other memories that Nepalese should remember and forget:

The year 2082 was not only a politically volatile year, but there were many memorable and unforgettable incidents in other areas as well. The Genji movement changed politics but caused great damage in the economic sector. Many industries and businesses, including Bhatbhateni, were destroyed.

Bhatbhateni, the most affected by the devastation of September 24, was the fastest. Many of the outlets that were completely damaged in the fire have come into operation.

This year, like in previous years, we had to face the fate of road accidents. In particular, the Dhading bus accident was a memorable event. At least 19 people including three foreigners were killed in the accident.

Talking about the sports sector, the TU Cricket Stadium was decorated with floodlights and for the first time Nepalese got to enjoy night cricket. The arrival of famous international players added to the excitement.

The arrival of the famous Brazilian football player Roberto Carlos helped to promote Nepal to the international level. He was brought to Nepal for the Nepal Super League.

In the economic sector, this year has not been remarkable. Moreover, the private sector was further emboldened by the Genji movement. Biswa Poudel was appointed as the new governor of Nepal Rastra Bank this year.

This year, Madhes was hit by drought. The paddy fields that should have been greener were torn apart.

On the other hand, the border point with China was closed for a long time due to the floods in Rasuwa. Hundreds of vehicles were swept away and buried in the floods.

When it comes to the entertainment industry, Nora Fatehi, Sanjay Dutt, Sonu Nigam and others from India have been in Kathmandu.

Bipin Joshi was killed in a Hamas attack in Israel. His body was brought to Nepal and cremated with national honours.

On September 23 and 24, the Gen-G movement against corruption took place. The Singha Durbar, the court and other structures were demolished.

After the movement, KP Sharma Oli’s power fell. The interim government was formed under the leadership of Sushila Karki, the first woman Prime Minister of the country.

The interim government successfully held the elections on March 4. And the country got a new prime minister. A council of ministers was formed under the leadership of Balendra Shah (Balen).

Former Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli and other top leaders have been arrested.
