DDC pays Rs 12 crore to milk farmers

Kathmandu. The Dairy Development Corporation (DDC) has paid Rs 120 million to the milk farmers who have not received their payment.

According to DDC, out of about Rs 58 crore in the last four months, Rs 12 crore has been paid to the farmers.

According to the Ministry, farmers are being paid Rs 10 million daily after the Ministry of Agriculture, Forest and Environment and the Dairy Development Corporation (DDC) brought an action plan for reforms.

The private sector dairies are yet to pay Rs 3 billion to the farmers and the government Dairy Development Agency (DDC) is yet to pay Rs 460 million.
