Kathmandu. Jyoti Prakash Pandey has been suspended from Nepal Investment Mega Bank . He was automatically suspended after he was arrested in a fraud case. One of the bank’s directors has confirmed that he has been suspended. Rajesh Sharma, the information officer of the bank, stopped answering the phone after the statement issued by him was found to be false.

The bank is preparing to appoint Mahesh Sharma Dhakal as acting CEO after discussions with the bank and .If possible, we will bring in a CEO from outside, otherwise we are preparing to give full CEO to Dhakal. 

However, since there is a possibility of Dhakal also being arrested in the case of property auction of Smart Telecom, what should be done to give the responsibility of to the acting CEO? The directors of have adisagreement on the issue.

The police have already arrested Pandey and some others in connection with the Smart Telecom case.The police are also investigating whether the CEO and other bankers are also involved in the process of this case.
