Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: The Traffic Police took action against 1,841 drivers in course of security operations in different parts of Kathmandu Valley in the last 24 hours. A total of Rs 479,501 revenue has been collected from this action.
A total of 1,841 drivers were booked for driving under the influence of alcohol, 107 for driving under the influence of alcohol, 192 for ride-sharing, 183 for red light, 126 for speeding, 41 for lane cross, 75 for road and footpath, 149 for lack of horn, 77 for one-way traffic and 891 for others, said Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Nawaraj Adhikari.
A total of 1,841 drivers have been taken action for breaching traffic rules in the Kathmandu Valley in the past 24 hours. A total of Rs 479,501 has been deposited in revenue from this action. ‘
The traffic police have urged the passengers to immediately inform the nearest police office, traffic control room hotline no 103 and police hotline no 100 if suspecting that the driver has been under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
