40 laptops worth Rs 4.5 million distributed to 20 schools

Kathmandu. Simkot Rural Municipality of Humla district has distributed laptops to 20 community schools under its jurisdiction. 

Laptops have been distributed to community schools with the objective of expanding the access of information technology in education. Rural municipality chief administrative officer Bhalaram Pan gali said that 40 laptops worth around Rs 4.5 million were distributed. The laptops were handed over to the rural municipality with the objective of improving the quality of school education, providing technology-friendly education to students and creating digital learning environment. 

The Chief Administrative Officer Pan gali said that the investment in education is linked to human resource development and prosperity of the entire rural municipality in the future. He also said that the distribution of laptops in schools would not be stopped but would also help in the training and management required for its effective use.

The Simkot Rural Municipality has been prioritizing the education sector in recent years by distributing laptops to improve school infrastructure, management of educational materials, capacity building of teachers, investment in digital education, and play a role in connecting rural students with modern technology, said Officer Pangali.
