. The District Police Office (DPO) on Saturday took action against 40 persons from different places of the district under the ‘sweep operation against illegal activities, hooliganism and disturbing peace and security in the society.

A team deployed from Ward Police Office, Baidam conducted a check at Pokhara Metropolitan City-17 and took action against two persons for driving under the influence of alcohol ( and eight for violating traffic rules. 

Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Birendra Kumar Paswan of the District Police Office informed that action was taken against nine persons for driving vehicles in the area of Pokhara-23 and and 24 and two for violating traffic rules.

Similarly, a team deputed from the Ward Police Office, Bagar took action against three persons for driving a vehicle Pokhara-16 {{}} and four for driving a vehicle under theinfluence of drugs.Yes. Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Paswan said that action was taken against four persons for driving a vehicle {{} {{} and six traffic violators for violating traffic rules ।

A dog team deployed from the Canine branch of the Gandaki Provincial Police Office checked the vehicles. The police have been conducting ‘sweep operation’ to take control of illegal activities such as creating noise during the night, disturbing public peace and security, , taking drugs and gambling. 

According to the police, those who have consumed alcohol and mariju ana products have been reminded and handed over to their parents.Those who have a criminal background, who are involved in such activities and who misbehave with the police during the investigation, have been booked in the court and legal action is taken forward.
