Kathmandu. Po khara—Locals have started removing houses and other physical structures built by encroaching on the Pokhara Metropolitan City (PMC) bus park area. Locals have started removing the structures on their own as the 15-day notice given by the metropolis to remove the structures is coming to an end on May 10. 

In order to support the plan to build a well-managed bus park , local landowners are demolishing their houses and huts and moving their belongings to safer places. 

Locals who received land ownership certificates for Rs 150,000 in the past have said that it is their responsibility to support the metropolis for development and to create conducive environment for the construction of the bus park. 

According to the notice of the metropolis, the locals have taken positive initiative to remove the structures within the stipulated time and proceed with the construction of the bus park. See in
