Kathmandu. The newly appointed Chairman of the Securities Board of Nepal ( Dr. Madhav Kumar Shrestha has been appointed as the new chairman of the Nepal Capital Market Investors Association. Congratulations to Gopal Bhatta. A team comprising SP Chaulagain, Chairman SP Chaulagain, reached the office of the Board and congratulated the Board Chairman and wished him a successful tenure. 

The association has also expressed the hope that capital market reforms, policy stability and increasing investor confidence will move ahead effectively under the leadership of Bhatta. 

Similarly, the Association has stressed that the role of the Securities Board as a regulator should be more effective, proactive and far-sighted. “There is a need for competent leadership to make the market more transparent, competitive, credible, technology-friendly and in line with international standards,” the statement reads.

At the same time, the association has also suggested the newly appointed chairman of the board to work to make the stock market not only a medium for share trading but also to mobilize national savings into productive sectors, ensure long-term financial resources for industries and businesses, and expand it as an important financial infrastructure that accelerates economic development.
