Kathmandu. Drivers associated with ride-sharing company Indrive have been protesting demanding a reduction in commission and fair fare. They staged a demonstration in front of Indrive’s Kupandole office on Wednesday, complaining of high commission and low fare rates.

They have started the demonstration under the leadership of Independent Drivers Foundation Nepal.

The demonstrators carried placards with slogans such as ‘Less fare, more commission’, ‘Pay the price for labour, secure the life of riders’, ‘Reduce the commission, increase justice’, ‘We will not remain silent, we will not tolerate injustice’, ‘Stop exploitation of riders’.

Reshma Bisunke, chairperson of the foundation, said that even the 5 percent VAT imposed by the government from the new fiscal year has been paid as commission as per the old fare. Look at the rest of the image:
