Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: A total of 71,775 foreign tourists have visited Nepal in the month of July 2026. According to the data released by the Nepal Tourism Board, the number 2.3 is an increase of {{}2.3{{}} as compared to the number of in July last year. A total of 70,193 foreign tourists visited Nepal in July 2025.

According to the Tourism Board, the highest number of tourists arrived in July from India.A total of 23,490 tourists have arrived in Nepal from India. This is 3 2.73 per cent of the total arrivals. 

The number of Chinese tourists has increased significantly in July. A total of 11,099 Chinese tourists visited Nepal in July 2026. This is an increase of 61.09 compared to 6,890 in July of the previous year. In July 2019, a total of 10,215 tourists arrived from China. 

Chinese tourist arrivals are up 8.65% from the pre-Covid situation of 8.65. The United States is in third place. A total of 7,754 tourists arrived from the United States in July. Like wise, 4, 179 tourists from Bangladesh, 3,773 from the UK and 2,428 from Australia visited Nepal.

Regionally, the number of tourists from South Asia is and is the highest.A total of 29,755 tourists from SAARC countries visited Nepal in July, which is 41. 46 per cent of the total arrivals. However, this number is 11.93 percent less than the previous year’s 33,787. The number of tourists coming from Bhutan is 991 tourists . Tourist arrivals from Pakistan increased by 3.94 per cent to 475. Sri Lanka received 581 tourists, down from 598 last year, 39 from the Maldives and 39 fromthe Maldives.

A total of 17, 42 4 tourists from other Asian countries have visited Nepal in July. This is 24.28 per cent of the total arrivals. In July last year, 13,052 tourists had visited Nepal. On this basis, other Asian markets have increased by 33.05. China followed by South Korea (1,394), Malaysia (1,380), Japan (1,111), Vietnam (574 ), Singapore (4 37) and Myanmar (437) and Thailand (428).

A total of 9 ,279 tourists from Europe visited Nepal in July. Europe’s share of total arrivals is 12.93 percent. Tourist arrivals from Europe include 3,773 from the United Kingdom, 723 from Germany, 681 from Spain, 644 from France , 514 from the Netherlands, 489 from Portugal and 467 from Russia.

A total of 8,824 tourists from the United States have visited Nepal. A total of 2,607 tourists have arrived from Oceania . A total of 736 tourists arrived from the Middle East in July. A total of 324 tourists from African countries visited Nepal in July.
