The NOC had made arrangements to sell and distribute cooking gas from 10 places of Kathmandu and Bhaktapur following complaints that gas was not easily supplied from the dealers. LPGs were sold and distributed in Teku, Babarmahal, Chabahil, Kirtipur and Basundhara of Kathmandu on Saturday.

Gas of various companies was sold from Teku, Budhanilkantha, Kirtipur, Nayabazaar, Tarakeshwor, Chandragiri and Thimi on Sunday. NOC Spokesperson Manoj Thakur said that 9,568 units of cylinders were sold from seven sales centers on Sunday.

According to the NOC, 6,802 cylinders were sold on Saturday. Stating that arrangements have been made for the sale and distribution of LPG from August 15, the NOC has urged the consumers to contact the dealers of their choice and purchase gas from August 17.

There was a sudden shortage of cooking gas in the market after the supply of cooking gas worth 14.2 kg was started from July 14 last year.
