Kathmandu. Kumari Bank Limited has contributed Rs. 3 crore to the Prime Minister Natural Disaster Relief Fund (PMLF) with an aim to support the relief, rescue and rehabilitation of the communities affected by floods and natural disasters in various districts of the country. The government has contributed Rs. 3 crores to the Prime Minister’s Natural Disaster Relief Fund.

In addition, the bank has provided about Rs. 100,000 to make search, rescue and monitoring operations more effective in the disaster-affected areas. Five state-of-the-art AI-enabled surveillance drones, 3 5 KVA capacity portable generators and 100 power banks worth Rs 3.9 million have been sent to the Nepal Army camp in Nuwakot.

Rasuwa, Nuwakot, Dhading, Gorkha, Chitwan and other districts have been affected by the recent disaster. The bank has coordinated with the Government of Nepal to provide relief, food, temporary shelter and other necessary humanitarian assistance to the affected families.

Kumari Bank has been fulfilling its social responsibility towards the community during disasters and humanitarian crises. The bank believes that this assistance will contribute significantly to the relief, rescue and rehabilitation of the affected communities.

Kumari Bank expressed deep sorrow to the affected communities at this difficult time of this disaster and has called on the concerned authorities to carry out relief, rescue and rehabilitation work more effectively as well as wish for speedy recovery of the injured and safe search and rescue of the missing persons.
