Kathmandu. The Chinese government has provided Rs 11 million to the children affected by the Bhotekoshi floods.

Chinese Ambassador to Nepal Chang Maoming handed over a cheque of the assistance amount to Minister for Education and Sports Sasmit Pokharel at a function held at the Ministry of Education and Sports on Monday.

On the occasion, Minister Pokharel thanked China for its support in time of the disaster and expressed his confidence that Nepal and China would continue necessary coordination and collaboration in the days ahead.

Ambassador Zhang said the amount was provided to provide direct assistance to the children affected by the floods.
