Kathmandu. Former Chief Justice Cholendra Shumsher JB Rana has been handed over to his family. Former Chief Justice Jung Rana, who was arrested citing security reasons, has been handed over to his family.

According to the Crime Investigation Office, Rana was arrested from his home on Saturday midnight and handed over to his family some time ago.

According to the police, a team of the Crime Investigation Office arrested him from his residence in Maharajgunj last night. The police claimed that the arrest was taken for security as various rumors were spread against Jabra in the ‘Discord Group’.

The police also did not allow the Human Rights Commission team to meet him. After waiting at the gate for about 45 minutes, they were not allowed to meet him. Although the police did not give a clear reason for arresting Jabra, security has been cited as the main reason.
