Kathmandu. Vehicular movement has been banned in Chitwan and Dhading areas of the Prithvi Highway tonight. Vehicular movement has also been banned on the Narayangadh-Muglin road section at night.

Chief District Officer of Chitwan, Ganesh Aryal, informed that the vehicular movement along the Prithvi Highway and the Narayangadh-Muglin road section has been closed for traffic from 8:00 pm to 5:00 am the next day.

He said that the vehicles have been stopped due to continuous rain and the risk of landslides is high. He said that more information will be issued based on the situation in the morning. He said, “Vehicles will be allowed to operate at 5:00 am but if there is a landslide and continuous rain at night, we will issue another notice.” ‘

Similarly, Chief District Officer (CDO) of Dhading, Laxmi Pandey (Gautam), issued a notice on Thursday urging the passengers and drivers to travel only after knowing the weather and road conditions.
