Kathmandu. Rain will occur in most parts of the country throughout the day today and this trend will continue till Friday. The Nepal Meteorological Department has said that the weather will gradually improve from Saturday.

“Most of the places are currently experiencing rain with thunderstorms. There will be rain throughout the day today and there will be some improvement in the night and there is a possibility of rain again on Friday afternoon. The weather will improve from Saturday and at present there is the influence of the western low pressure system as well as the monsoon wind in the country,” said Meteorologist Rojan Lamichhane.

Although the eastern region received comparatively less rainfall today, there is a possibility of heavy rain in one or two places of Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini and Sudurpaschim provinces. The highest rainfall today was recorded at the Simalpani center of Arghakhanchi at 58.2 mm. This rainfall is heavy.

According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division, moderate rainfall along with thunder, lightning, gusty winds and hailstorm is taking place at some places of Kathmandu Valley, Bagmati Province, Lumbini, Gandaki Province, Karnali and Sudurpaschim Provinces at present.
