With this announcement, Nepalese living and working abroad can send remittances to Nepal from more than 150 countries through Tranglo’s website, mobile app, or directly by visiting the branches of Tranglo. Meanwhile, the beneficiaries in Nepal can receive remittances from more than 13,800+ dedicated remit agents, 100,000+ cash pick-up enabled wallet agent locations of Esewa Money Transfer, major banks, and financial institutions, along with their branches, and directly in beneficiaries’ eSewa wallet.
Established in 2008, Tranglo is the leading remittance company in the world and has offices in Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, Jakarta, Dubai, and London. Tranglo’s global network spans more than 150 countries, 5,800 mobile operators, 2,200 banks/wallets, and 140,000 cash pickup points.
eSewa, established in 2009, is Nepal’s pioneer digital payment service provider and a subsidiary of F1soft Group. eSewa’s one-stop mobile wallet allows customers to receive inward remittances, send money domestically, pay utility bills across 10,000+ billers, and is accepted by over 1.3 million QR-enabled merchants nationwide.
The agreement was signed between Biswas Dhakal, President of F1Soft Group, and Jacky Lee, CEO of Tranglo. With this agreement, Tranglo will utilize the broad network of the Esewa ecosystem in Nepal.
