Kathmandu. The Transport Management Office, Radhe Radhe Bhaktapur has planned to distribute 176,250 driving licenses for two-wheelers and four-wheelers within six months.

The office has started distributing all the driving licenses from 2022 to 2024 and some licenses of 2025 from Tuesday and a total of 3,000 vehicle licenses have been distributed till Thursday, according to the information officer of the office, Jeevan Basnet. He said that one lakh vehicle licenses are yet to be printed.

“We started distributing licenses from Tuesday, distributed 800 on the first day, distributed 3,000 on the second day and the third day. “We cannot distribute more than 1,000 even if eight employees are deployed in the distribution of licenses from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, in this situation it takes six months to distribute all the licenses.” ’

Urging the service seekers not to crowd daily to get the license sent by the government, he urged the service seekers to come slowly without crowding as it can be said that the license can be shown using the license bill and mobile app.

After the office started distributing driving licenses, the crowd of service seekers who have been waiting for four years to get a license has increased in the office. Basnet said that the office distributes the driving licenses as soon as the office opens at 9:00 am after the crowd of service seekers started in front of the office from 7:00 am.

The service recipients who had applied for renewal and had been waiting for a new license for four years after passing the written and practical examinations had been operating their vehicles on the basis of receipts till now.
