Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: The task of removing the unused wires from some places in the Kathmandu Valley has begun.

The Ministry of Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation and the Ministry of Information and Communications have taken the initiative to do so.

The electric wire will be removed at Tripureshwor, Kalimati, Kalanki, Jadibuti, Pepsicola, Tripureshwor, Lazimpat, Samakhusi Town Plan, Gongabu, Kirtipur, Old Baneshwor, Gaushala and Chabahil.

The removal of the wire is expected to enhance the beauty of the city, guarantee public safety and minimise risks on road sector.
