Kathmandu. A team from the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) has arrested Yubaraj Pal, a tax officer at the Inland Revenue Office, Lahan, on the charge of taking bribe from service seekers.

A team deputed from Bardibas arrested Pal while taking bribe from service recipients, said CIAA’s Information Officer Prakash Pokharel.

Tax Officer Pal has been accused of taking bribe from a service recipient in the name of facilitating the tax examination of a Lahan-based company. According to Information Officer Pokharel, necessary investigation is underway on Tax Officer Pal to determine the bribe amount.
