Kathmandu. The Koshi Province government has announced an ex-gratia of Rs 200,000 each to the families of the deceased in the incident that took place in Dewangunj of Sunsari. According to Chief Minister’s press advisor Bikram Luitel, the government has decided to provide Rs 50,000 each to the families of those injured in the arson incident.

An all-party meeting organized by Chief Minister of Koshi Province Hikmat Kumar Karki took the decision to this effect.

The meeting also made an eight-point decision to maintain social harmony, peace and security in view of the situation created after the incident that took place last night last night. The meeting also paid tribute to the deceased Om Prakash Mehta and wished for speedy recovery of the injured.

Political, social and administrative sides would take coordinated initiatives to maintain social harmony and communal unity and organize all-party and all-party meetings at the local levels.

Likewise, the meeting decided to play a joint appeal by all religious community organisations and play a role in coordination and facilitation in coordination with the local administration to maintain reconciliation and harmony at the community level.

The meeting also decided to request the federal government to provide treatment to the injured and provide relief to the families of the deceased. Similarly, the committee has urged the concerned District Administration Offices to make necessary coordination to make the security management effective to prevent recurrence of such incidents in the disaster-hit districts and surrounding areas. In the meeting, Chief Minister Karki said that all should play a role to maintain social harmony.

The all-party meeting was attended by Rastriya Swatantra Party’s Province Chair Chandra Bahadur Rai, Nepali Congress Province President Uddhav Thapa, CPN (UML) Province Chair Ghanashyam Khatiwada, representatives of various political parties, chiefs of security bodies and high-ranking officials.
