Kathmandu. The Indian tunnel rescue team has worked closely with the Nepal Army team to carry out search and rescue operations at the hydropower tunnel sites in Chilime and Langtang areas.

The team will continue the search and rescue operations in close coordination with the Nepal Army, according to the Indian Embassy here. The Indian tunnel rescue team had arrived in Nepal on Saturday.

Similarly, the fourth flight from India arrived in Kathmandu today with 11 tons of additional relief materials. The rescue materials included blankets, sleeping bags, tarpaulins, plastic sheets and hygiene kits, as well as additional technical teams along with necessary equipment for tunnel search and rescue operations.

A team of Indian forensic experts has also arrived in Nepal today for DNA analysis along with forensic equipment. Forensic teams from India have met with Nepali experts at the Central Forensic Science Laboratory of Nepal Police and Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital for the analysis of DNA samples of those killed in the Rasuwa floods.
