Kathmandu. Free health services have been provided to the affected residents of Bidur municipality of Nuwakot district affected by the Bhotekoshi floods.

Grande International Hospital Kathmandu in collaboration with Korea’s Um Hung Gil Human Foundation provided free health services to the locals at Tupche Rural Community Health Unit in Bidur Municipality-7.

The health camp was organized in coordination with the health department of Bidur municipality, according to health section chief Ramraja Bhandari.

According to him, 153 affected people who lost their houses and bamboo to the floods in the camp have availed service from the temporary structures.

A team led by senior gynaecologist and obstetrician Prof Dr Padam Raj Pant of Grande Hospital provided gynecology and obstetric services. Similarly, a team of doctors from the same hospital provided pediatric services, nose, ear and throat services, orthopedic services and general physician services.

The camp run in coordination with Bidur Municipality provided essential medicines free of cost to the patients on the recommendation of doctors.

Rabindra Nepal, chairperson of Bidur Municipality-7, said that the camp was organized targeting the people facing difficulties in accessing health services due to geographical disasters.
