NMB Bank Limited has secured a debt fund of USD 20 million from FMO, the Dutch Entrepreneurial Development Bank. This funding is aimed at supporting the growth of NMB’s micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) and green financing portfolio.
Out of this USD 20 million fund, USD 15 million has been designated to bolster green initiatives, emphasizing the bank’s commitment to environmentally sustainable projects. The remaining USD 5 million will be deployed to further the growth and expansion of MSMEs in the country.
This marks FMO’s first-ever debt partnership in Nepal, highlighting its global reach and commitment to sustainable banking practices.
‘The Banker Magazine’ of The Financial Times, London, has awarded NMB Bank with the prestigious Bank of the Year Asia 2021. The bank has also been awarded Bank of the Year in 2017, 2018, 2020, and 2021. NMB Bank is currently providing its services through 201 branches, 151 ATMs, and 12 extension counters.
