KATHMANDU
An individual was caught with around a kilogram of illegal gold at Tribhuvan International Airport. The person caught is 35-year-old Sharif Ahmad Abdul Gafur.
Gafur arrived in Nepal from Dubai on a flight on Monday night, bringing with him 855 grams of half-cut gold. Suspicious, authorities checked him and found the gold in his possession at Tribhuvan Airport.
Gafur, who was arrested, has been taken to the airport police office for further investigation and action.
