Kathmandu. Employees associated with political trade unions will be dissolved. The proposal to dissolve the trade union has been put forward in the draft prepared by the Ministry of Federal Affairs and General Administration.

The draft proposes an effective alternative to employees to hear their grievances instead of trade unions.

Similarly, the proposal also prohibits civil servants from taking membership of political parties, political parties, brother organizations, people’s organizations and organizations affiliated to political parties.

In spite of , if any civil servant is found to be involved in political activities, will be disqualified from government service in the future, will be dismissed. The draft also states that the service period of a civil servant will be up to the age of 60 years.
