Kathmandu. The government has announced an increase in the allowances of nurses and health workers. Presenting the budget for the coming fiscal year, he announced that the allowance of nurses working at night will be doubled.

He also announced a 50 per cent increase in allowances for volunteers providing health services in the community.

The decision to increase the allowance of nurses and health workers has been made with the objective of boosting the morale of the health workers, quality service and increasing health service in rural and remote areas.
