Kathmandu. One hundred and fifty branches of banks and financial institutions have been closed. According to the statistics of Nepal Rastra Bank, 149 branches of and financial institutions have closed in differentplaces in the first 10 months of the current fiscal year.

Rashtra Bank issued a directive on December 29, 2082 in case there are many branches within the Metropolitan City, Bank can merge or or {{}} .According to the same provision, the banks and financial institutions have reduced their branches.

According to the bank’s data, 7 commercial banks and 3 development banks and 118 branches of the bank {{} have been merged in Kathmandu, Lalitpur, Pokhara, Biratnagar, Birgunj and Bharatpur metropolitan cities.

However, as of mid-April of the current fiscal year, a total of 149 branches of and financial institutions have been closed, according to the data of the bank.In this way, banks and financial institutions will not be allowed to cut staff when the branch office is closed.
