Kathmandu. Tourists have started flocking to the Fewa Lake in Pokhara in search of coolness and entertainment. Especially, domestic and foreign tourists are participating in various water sports in Fewa Lake to escape the heat.

Stand-up paddle boarding (SUP) has become popular among the youths in Fewa Lake in recent years. The attraction of youths towards this adventurous and recreational activity of paddling on a special board standing on a special board on the calm waters of the lake is increasing. Entrepreneurs say that SUP has become the choice of many because of the combination of physical balance, exercise and entertainment.

The number of tourists visiting the Fewa Lake area has also increased with the rise in temperature in Pokhara for some time. Along with boating, the number of people participating in activities like stand-up paddle boarding and kayaking has increased in the lake.

Entrepreneurs say that attractive photos and videos can be shared on social media which has also increased its popularity among the younger generation.

According to the entrepreneurs associated with water tourism, stand-up paddle boarding has added a new dimension to tourism in Pokhara. Along with the natural beauty of the lake, this activity is becoming the center of attraction for the tourists who want to have an adventurous experience.
