Kathmandu. In the name of improving the presentation of the annual report, ICAN has again given the award to the Agriculture Development Bank after the case of taking money from the Agriculture Development Bank to get the award, and accordingly deducting a bill of Rs 5 lakh to the Agriculture Development Bank, the ICAN has again given the award to the Agriculture Development Bank. The case of Aman Upreti, who is also a councilor of ICAN, was given the award under the Public Bank to Agriculture Development Bank by keeping Aman Upreti, who was also a councilor of ICAN, for taking money in the name of presenting good financial statements.

Out of the 3 state-owned banks, Agriculture Development Bank was the only one who participated in the award. This time too, Aman Upreti had cut the bill to the bank in the name of presenting the financial report. This is the second time that ICANN’s award has been dragged into controversy after the bank received the award as promised to the bank in Upreti’s design.

Aman Upreti has confirmed that he took the payment from the Agriculture Development Bank in the name of preparing a financial report. However, he claimed that he had no role in getting the award to the bank.

A complaint has been filed against Aman Upreti at ICANN demanding action against Aman Upreti for ‘conflict of interest’ to get the award last year as well. But instead of taking the complaint to process, the same Upreti has been given the award by keeping him on the stage.
