Nearly 7,000 employees disclosed for not following the deadline, action will be taken!

Kathmandu. The National Vigilance Centre has intensified surprise monitoring in government offices. 

Information Officer of the Centre, Sarita Khatiwada, said that the Centre has been carrying out surprise monitoring at 10 offices on a daily basis.She said that she is monitoring attendance, uniform, file and trapping during office hours by forming five groups.

According to Khatiwada, the Centre has monitored 1,130 offices since mid-July.Among them, 6,710 employees were found not following office hours while 1,162 employees were found not wearing the prescribed uniform, Information Officer Khatiwada said.

In this period, two and three times have been monitored in some offices. She said that the inspection has recommended action against those employees. According to Section 55 of the Civil Service Act, 2049, the concerned office will issue a warning letter to the employees and its record will be kept at the office.

Similarly, there is a provision in the Act to take departmental action against the employees who have been warned twice.The Centre is also monitoring seven provinces in one district. The center is monitoring the offices in the districts where there is a lot of public contact.
