Kathmandu. Around 10,000 people have submitted their property details.

The Commission for Investigation of Property, led by former Supreme Court Justice Rajendra Kumar Bhandari, had estimated that more than 25,000 incumbents and retired employees and political officials would submit their property details, but only 10,000 have submitted their property details so far.

Former justices Chandiraj Dhakal, Purushottam Parajuli, former Deputy Inspector General of Police Ganesh Karki and Chartered Accountant Prakash Lamsal are the members of the commission.

The Commission has been entrusted with the responsibility of collecting, verifying and investigating the property of the chief political officials and high-ranking officials holding public office since 2006/63.

However, the number of of those who submit details to the Commission is very low. The commission has extended the deadline for submitting the details by 1 month. It can also be submitted by reaching the commission, by post or online.
