Kathmandu. The Chief Business Officer of Prabhu Bank has been transferred to the Far-West Bank. Ramesh Kumar Shrestha, who was working as CBO of the bank, has been transferred to Dhangadhi. The bank informed him in an email that he has been transferred to Dhangadhi with effect from Monday. With his transfer, a different kind of debate has started in the bank.
Employees argue that Shrestha, who is in the role of Chief Business Officer, will have a direct impact on the business after being transferred out of Kathmandu. On the other hand, it has been argued that some of the auctions in the bank have been retaliated against because of the difference of opinion.
“Ramesh ji had a different opinion about some auctions. It is understood that this is the reason why he was transferred. Another senior official of the bank told the financial concern, “If it is not in the interest of the bank, then it is to refute the logic.” That is to be explained. But just because you have a different argument does not mean that someone should be transferred, whatever happened was wrong. ” said the employee.
Another employee has accused Shrestha’s transfer as a strategy to weaken the employees who came from the then Century Commercial Bank. “There was only one Rameshji who represented Century. There are many problems with the post-merger. Among those who have come from the century are Rameshji and Dipendra Bistaji. I didn’t need to talk more about Dipendraji. Who will take our word now?”
Shrestha, on the other hand, did not seem ready to talk about it. When asked about the transfer, he said, “I have no comment on it. The bank has sent it to Dhangadhi. I’m going to appear on Monday. “We have heard that some auctions were transferred because they had different opinions. In response to our question, he said, “Whatever he has done, he has spoken, he has spoken in favor of the bank. There is nothing else to say. Explain to the bank why you have been transferred. ‘
When contacted, the bank’s information officer Rabindra Dhakal did not pick up the phone.
Transfer of seniors is not considered natural, such transfer to NIC brought a rift!
For some, the transfer of an employee may not seem like a big deal. However, Shrestha is the AGM of Niraj Lamsal, who has already been the acting CEO. He is also a contender for the post of deputy CEO of the bank. But while the bank is preparing to bring in another deputy CEO, the bankers have taken the matter of transferring him to the far west very seriously.
Some time ago, there was a similar case of transfer in NIC Asia Bank. Senior Deputy CEO of the bank, Sudhir Nath Pandey, was transferred as the chief of Madhesh Province. Pandey is currently the Senior Deputy CEO of Kumari Bank. After the decision to transfer him to Madhesh Province, there was a big stir in the bank. After that incident, the bank’s upheaval has been analyzed in the banking sector. The employees of the bank argue that Ramesh Shrestha was also transferred with the message that he should leave the bank.
Earlier, Niraj Lamsal had also tried to transfer Shrestha. But he didn’t take that risk because he was just a lust. According to the bank’s staffers, Niraj Lamsal, Rabindra Dhakal and Dipendra Bista have agreed to transfer Shrestha. Ramesh Kumar Shrestha himself agrees with this claim.
