Kathmandu. The government is preparing to operate Udayapur Cement Factory. The government led by Balendra Shahis preparing to reopen the Udayapur Cement Industry by renewing the license of the then government led by KP Sharma Oli to reopen the license for extracting the limestone . 

The Oli-led government had revoked the license for lime stone extraction in 2081 BS.However, a meeting of the Council of Ministers held on July 3, 2083 has renewed the license. 

The cabinet also decided to clear the dues of Rs 74,97,331.95 billion owed by Udayapur Cement Industry Limited to the Department of Mines and Geology. 

According to a source at the Ministry of Finance, the government has already provided the amount to the Department of Geology.With this, the government has appointed a general manager at Udayapur Cement Factory.
