Kathmandu. A person involved in stealing and selling government vehicles has been remanded in custody. Far-Western University, Faculty of Health Sciences, The then Dean Dr. Nirajan Kunwar, 23, has been arrested on the charge of stealing a government vehicle from the official residence of Homnath Joshi.
On September 10, a government vehicle with registration number Ba 2 J 2859 was stolen on the occasion of the agitation of Gen-G on the occasion of the agitation.
Instead of returning the vehicle after the agitation, Kunwar sold the vehicle for Rs 400,000 after a discussion with Arjun Karki, 31, of Ghodaghodi Municipality-2.Investigations revealed that the vehicle was sold to Karki.
Kunwar has been remanded in custody for further investigation after the district court, police said.Karki, who bought the vehicle, has been released after paying a deposit of three and a half lakh rupees.
Police are also searching for others involved in the theft and sale of the government vehicle.
