Kathmandu. Dirgha Bahadur Rawal has been appointed as the Deputy Governor of Nepal Rastra Bank . A meeting of the Council of Ministers held on Wednesday decided to appoint Rawal as the deputy governor of the Nepal Rastra Bank (. 

Rastra Bank Governor Bishwanath Poudel appointed Rastra Bank ( on the recommendation of Bishwanath Poudel.

Rawal is the Executive Director of Ra stra Bank . Rao, who became the executive director of Rastra Bank ( a year ago, is heading the supervision department of the bank . 

Prior to this, Rawal had headed the financial unit that looked after the financial management of money laundering and from ( 2019 to 202 4).He also has experience of working as Member Secretary of the National Coordination Committee. 

Rawal was the Assistant Manager of Nepal Bank before joining the bank Rashtra Bank. He started working in the Department of Economic Research and in the Department of Economic Research and and the Department of Financial Institutions Regulation.

He is a Ph. D. scholar at Kathmandu University School of Management.He holds a master’s degree in economics and an MBA in management. Rawal was also honored with the Saamna Banking Award, 2012.
