Flood-affected businessmen say loans taken from banks should be renewed by waiving interest

Kathmandu. businessmen in flood-affected areas have demanded interest waiver and loan renewal. During a meeting with Chandra Prasad Dhakal, former president of the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI), the flood-affected entrepreneurs demanded that the loan should be renewed by waiving the interest on the loans taken from banks and financial institutions .

Most of the industrialists and businessmen who demanded had been doing industries, trade and business in the {{} Bhotekoshi- Trishuli corridor.

More than 1,800 small and large industries and businesses have been completely destroyed by the floods. businessmen have also stressed on the need to bring immediate relief and revival programs for the industrialists and businessmen.

Flood-damaged industries businesses have been invested through banks, which has caused more problems due to businessmen.

They have also demanded the government to renew the loans taken from banks and financial institutions for at least three years and take initiatives to pay the insurance claim amount immediately.
