Kathmandu. Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse) has suspended the trading of shares on Monday. The trading of 72 trading members of Nepse has been suspended due to a technical problem in the data center where the server of the member companies is located.

According to a notice issued by NEPSE on Monday, there has been a technical problem at Data Hub Pvt Ltd since the morning of September 19 and efforts are being made to resolve the problem.

According to the notice, the technical problem seen in the data center could also cause damage to Nepse’s trading system while operating the transaction in the status quo.

Meanwhile, the Stock Brokers Association of Nepal had also applied to NEPSE to postpone today’s regular trading session. In this connection, the Nepal Stock Exchange Limited has decided to suspend the regular trading on September 21 in accordance with Rule 21 (1) of the Securities Listing and Trading Rules, 2075.

NEPSE has clarified that the transaction has been suspended considering the possibility of further damage to the system while conducting the transaction as the technical problem has not yet been resolved.
