Kathmandu. The Troubled Cooperative Management Committee has returned the savings of five problematic cooperatives. According to the committee, the amount has been returned to 57 small savers of Shivashikhar, 52 of Kantipur, eight of Oriental Cooperative, nine of Tulsi Bahumukhi and nine of Ideal Yamuna Cooperative.

The government has clarified that the amount received from the recovery of the loan of the troubled cooperative has been returned to the affected savers. In the first phase, the savers with a small amount of savings were returned to the savers, the committee said. In this way, the amount will be returned by classifying the amount of the saver on the basis of the amount of the saver.

The work of recovering loans from the problematic cooperatives and returning the savings from the money received from the property management to the savers of the cooperatives is being carried out continuously as per the prevailing legal provisions.
