Kathmandu. A person has been arrested on the charge of cheating money on the pretext of sending it to Japan. A police team deployed from the Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office arrested 32-year-old Man Bahadur Bhandari of Dang.

He is accused of cheating Rs 5.77 lakh from a person on the pretext of sending him to Japan. Based on the complaint filed by the victim, he was arrested from Kathmandu on October 8 for investigation, police said.

He has been sent to the Department of Foreign Employment for further investigation and necessary action.

KATHMANDU: Police have urged one and all to remain vigilant as the number of fraudsters in the lure of foreign employment and lucrative salary has increased in recent period.
