Kathmandu. Nepal Airlines Corporation (Nepal Airlines) Financial is in crisis. Nepal Airlines is in financial crisis due to non-payment of loans and outstanding dues.

Currently, the corporation is paying 9. 25 percent interest on the loan taken from the Employees Provident Fund and 10.5 percent on the loan taken from the Employees Provident Fund.

Similarly, the corporation is yet to clear the arrears of Rs 13.75 crore from the government. The amount is arrears for foreign trips of the head of state, rescue and various rescue flights.

On the other hand Nepal Airlines has received an offer to take a loan from private banks at a cheaper interest rate but it is not able to repay the loan of the Provident Fund until the loan of the Provident Fund is repaid. The officials of the corporation have said that the corporation is in financial crisis due to high interest rates and outstanding arrears to be raised{{{} } officials of the corporation {{{}
