Sai Kripa tea proved to be sub-standard in Bhatbhateni uninterrupted sale, bid to clear stock on the occasion of Dashain!

Kathmandu. Kripa tea which has been certified as substandard is found to be selling in the market. The Department of Food Technology and Quality Control has certified Sai Kripa Tea which has been certified as inedible is being sold uninterrupted in Bhatbhateni Supermarket, the largest store in the country.

The department had banned the sale and distribution of tea after inedible chemicals were found in ‘Sai Kripa Gold tea during market monitoring.

According to the department, the chemical was found in batch number ’83 D 05′ of Kripa Gold Tea (1,000 {{} Kripa Gold Tea (1,000 {{} ( according to the department.

After the inedible chemicals were found in the tea, the department had stopped the sale and distribution of all the products produced by the industry along with the batch. Not only this, the department had also ordered the immediate return of the products of the industry from the market.

However, the industry has been found to be selling its products in the market in defiance of the department’s order. On the occasion of Dashain, the company is selling inedible tea in the name of clearing the stock.

Due to this level of stubbornness and negligence on the part of the seller, the health of consumers is at risk. The uninterrupted sale of products that have been proven to be inedible has also raised questions about the government’s monitoring and orders.
