Kathmandu. Workers associated with the Social Security Fund will be able to get loans to buy land. Under the ‘Land Loan’ scheme introduced by the Fund, the workers associated with the fund will get a loan of up to Rs 1.50 crore to buy land.

Minister for Labour, Employment and Social Security Ramji Yadav informed about the scheme on the occasion of International Workers’ Day. 

With this, the workers associated with the fund will be able to take a loan of up to Rs 1.50 crore at 6 percent interest rate to buy land.This is the first time that the Fund has introduced the ‘land loan’ scheme . 

To avail this facility, one has to join the fund regularly for 18 months and contribute monthly.Minister Yadav said that the loan would be provided on the basis of contribution made to the fund.
