Kathmandu. Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) has appointed Longevity Shrestha as the acting executive director of Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) after Hitendra Dev Shakya was eliminated. Shrestha has been appointed as the acting executive director of the company on Wednesday. 

Shrestha has been appointed as the Deputy Executive Director of the Distribution and Customer Service Directorate of NEA and Minister for Energy,Water Resources and Irrigation and Minister for Irrigation. 

Prior to this, the Executive Director of NEA was Hitendra Dev Shakya.However, he was relieved of his post through an ordinance brought by the government. Shakya has been appointed as the managing director after Shakya’s exit from NEA.
