Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: A total of 47 people have applied for the post of chairman of the Securities Board of Nepal (SEBON). A total of 47 candidates have applied for the post of chairman after the resignation of Santosh Narayan Shrestha. 

Two former deputy governors of Nepal Ra stra Bank to former joint secretaries have applied for the post of chairman of the board . 

Former deputy governor of Rastra Bank Bam Bahadur Mishra and Chintamani have applied for the post of chairman.Similarly, the former executive director of the Rashtra Bank , Dr. Gopal Bhatta, Mukunda Kumar Chhetri, Pitambar Bhandari, Rajendra Pandit, Leela Dhakal, Acting Director Pra hlad Giri and Director Subash Chandra Ghimire have also applied for the post. 

Similarly, former Executive Director of the Securities Board of India, Dr.Nawaraj Adhikari,Director Binay Dev Acharya and Pitambar Bhandari, who was relieved from the post of Director, have also applied for the post of Chairman of the Board. 

Krishna Bahadur Karki, former CEO of NEPSE, Dirgha Mainali, former of Sindhu Bikas, Suresh Devkota, former CEO of Reliance Life Dr.Rakesh Pokharel, Jyoti Bikash CEO of the bank and former chairman of the Insurance Board Chiranjeevi Chapagain are also in the race. 

Similarly, Purushottam Chimaria, who has been in the stock market for a long time and has been advocating for reforms in the stock market, has also applied for the post of chairman of the board. 

Others Vipin Kadel, Badri Guragain, Binod Acharya, Jhavendra Karki, Prakash Adhikari, Dr. Keshav Shrestha, Mukti Aryal, Krishna Acharya, Deepak Thapa, Dim Prasad Paudel, Santosh Narayan Shrestha, Prabin Pandey, Nirajan Ghimire, Buddhi Sagar Amgain, Tej Prasad Devkota, Khagendra Sapkota, Dr. Manoj Kumar Shahi, Krishna Raj Pokharel, Hemanta Basyal, Dr. Shankarprasad Pathak, Dr. Similarly, Hari Kumar Silwal, Bikash Raj Pokharel, Narayan Sapkota, Dev Prasad Dahal, Ramdev Yadav, Shivaraj Adhikari and Surya Prasad Adhikari have also applied for the post.
